The Leadership Team has finalized the 2020/2021 Ministry Plan and Financial Plan for Ministry.

We encourage all of our members to familiarize themselves with the plan, keep it and the ministry of St. Lucas Lutheran Church and School in your prayers, and consider how you will be an answer to those prayers in using your time, talents and financial gifts to support the ministry we do together here and around the world as members of this congregation, a federation congregation of Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School (KMLHS), and a member congregation of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).

This edition details worship schedules for November and December, including Thanksgiving and Christmas and the necessary changes made due to the current Covid-19 restrictions. Read about the Christmas outreach plans, activities involving the Teens Living for Christ, the upcoming "anchors in the Storm" sessions and long range planning update.

The October issue gives updates involving long term planning and the process St. Lucas is undertaking to set future vision and direction, offering commitment update and information about scholarships offered to students. A new sermon series begins in October entitled Pictures of God. Parables of Jesus from each week's Gospel lesson will be used to help understand spiritual truths. 

This issue also provides the entire month's schedule and details of Bible classes, Sunday School, confirmation class and long range planning. Also read about the impacts of lightening  on school and church property, school news, Teens Living for Christ, and continuing Covid-19 safety measures.

The September Presciption Notes features news involving return to school year worship schedule, a complete guide to upcoming youth and Bible study opportunities, and the new sermon series  about the key characteristics of the church.  Read the update involving the upkeep of church and school property taking place over the summer months and rejoice in the many ways we can be stewards of God's gifts,

The August edition provides recent updates involving worship during the concerns with COVID 19. You can also read about the current summer sermon series and a recap of Vacation Bible School. Information surrounding the 2020/2021 offering commitment forms and current school update are also included in this issue.

This edition repeats the safety measures in place for summer worship and thanks several members who are putting in extra work to help us offer worship opportunities in a safe way. You can also read about plans for a summer Bible class, Vacation Bible School and National Night Out. July begins a new fiscal year and ministry planning year. This edition highlights a major long term planning initiative that will be a part of our ministry in 2020/2021.

This edition details our procedures for reopening the church for worship and Bible study. It recognizes our 8th grade confirmands and graduates, gives information about summer events still planned at St. Lucas, and reports on the work the Leadership Team has been doing to prepare a 2020/21 Ministry Plan and Financial Plan for ministry.  

Even though we were restricted to gathering this edition of Prescription Notes highlights the many ways we were able to celebrate Easter and recounts the many blessings God has poured out on our congregation.

In this edition read about the efforts St. Lucas is taking to keep ministry and Holy Week worship and Bible study going under the "safer-at-home" restriction put in place due to the COVID-19 outbreak. You might be surprised how much we are still able to do to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, even under difficult circumstances.

March 2020

Did you know Prescription Notes is now going to be published monthly? This month's edition highlights worship, fellowship and outreach plans for Lent, Holy Week and Easter.  You'll also find an update about our Bible classes and a financial report. Don't forget to see who has birthdays and March.

Winter 2020

This issue reviews the highlights of a busy and blessed first semester, summarizes activities planned for the second semester and describes some changes to the makeup of our leadership team.

Fall 2019

This edition of Prescription Notes highlights the plans we have for a new fiscal year at St. Lucas. Read about upcoming Bible classes, a stewardship program called 10 for 10, a Welcome Home event in October and the opening of another school year at our elementary school. This edition also introduces our new teacher Mr. Loroff and invites you to attend the welcome planned for him in August.
