St. Lucas is committed to the total development of students’ minds, hearts, and bodies. Yet first and foremost, we are a school – one that works diligently to maintain a reputation for academic excellence. Our renowned curriculum and devoted faculty uphold the high standards we have maintained for more than a decade.

Our standards yield returns that both our students and their parents desire. Students in every grade level consistently score above the national average.

Technology

Technology is changing the world at a pace unseen in history. Ten years ago many of us did not own a cell phone, but today most of us possess one. In fact cell phones have gone from calling devices to mini computers that run applications. How many of you rely on the technology your cell phone is equipped with? Technology is changing and affecting the world of education. Over the course of the next 3-5 years technology will explode in education.
Technology is a tool we integrate at St. Lucas Lutheran School. It doesn’t replace our teachers, but only enhances how they can help your child in the learning process. Your children are growing up in the digital age. Unlike you and I, they don’t know what life was like without cell phones, computers, or the Internet. St. Lucas Lutheran School has been a leader and vision minded in integrating technology into the classroom. St. Lucas began its 1 to 1 program in the fall of 2011.
What is one to one computing?
In a one-to-one teaching and learning environment, your child is provided access to a personal computing device on a teacher-directed basis throughout the school day. Students do not share their devices with other students. It is the intent of a one-to-one program to invest our students with "anytime and anywhere" learning. When your child is in the classroom, this means that their device is readily available for instruction, learning, collaborating, and research as directed by the classroom teacher to accomplish the objectives for that lesson.
